Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and the UN Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan Alexander Zuev discussed development of cooperation between the United Nations.
The meeting, which also discussed current issues and prospects for cooperation, was held in Dushanbe, Avesta.Tj reported referring to the president's press service.
Zuev informed Tajikistan's president about the results of the cooperation in 2013 and outlined plans for the interactions of the parties for 2014.
"The construction of innovative laboratory of infectious diseases and three hospitals for the treatment of tuberculosis, implementation of projects in education, further cooperation in the land mine clearing are the main areas of cooperation," Zuev said.
The sides expressed confidence in further development and strengthening of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN.
