All markets, including food and clothing ones, closed in the capital of Tajikistan - Dushanbe Sept. 6, Dushanbe's city hall said, Interfax reported.
"All markets, namely, food, clothing and others closed in Dushanbe for security reasons," the statement said. "The markets will open from September 10, that is, after the celebration of the Independence Day."
The Independence Day is celebrated in Tajikistan on September 9. This is a day-off. These measures are taken for safety and to avoid mass gatherings.
Shops, cafes and restaurants continue working in the center of Dushanbe, Interfax reported.
