TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 27. Tajikistan eyes to increase the overall capacity of renewable electricity generation to 700 megawatts by 2030, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at the second meeting of energy ministers of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member states in Tashkent on June 24.
"It's scheduled to implement several solar energy construction projects with a capacity of 460 megawatts," Daler said.
The minister also underscored Tajikistan's plans to focus on the renewable energy practices of neighboring SCO members states, such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as India and China.
