BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. The World Food Programme (WFP) has published a 'Market Situation Update' for Tajikistan for October 24-30, Trend reports with reference to the WFP.
As reported, during the reporting period, the average staple food prices in Tajikistan were (per 1 kg/liter):
vegetable oil - 22.4 somoni ($2.1)
wheat flour (1st grade) - 6.5 somoni ($0.63)
rice - 14.3 somoni ($1.39)
sugar - 11.1 somoni ($1.08)
milk - 5.6 somoni ($0.54)
chicken - 35.1 somoni ($3.4)
beef - 62.4 somoni ($6.1)
potatoes - 4.2 somoni ($0.421)
Notably, as of November 1, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Tajikistan is 10.2 TJS/1 USD.
