BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. Tajikistan's Sughd region has produced 205,300 tons of flour from January through October 2022, Trend reports with reference to sugdnews.com.
During the reporting period, a total of 617,700 tons of wheat were imported into the region.
As reported, the price of flour in the Sughd region has slightly decreased in recent days, that is primarily due to the stabilization of the exchange rate and the purchase of wheat at affordable prices.
"According to the department of industry and energy of the executive body of state power of the Sughd region, an agreement was signed with Kazakhstan on the provision of 300,000 tons of wheat. Currently, grain is imported into the region by rail," the message said.
Notably, a total of 18 flour production enterprises are operating in the territory of the Sughd region.
