BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 8. Tajikistan’s Somon Air has announced the opening of direct regular flights from Tajik capital, Dushanbe, to the Jeddah city in Saudi Arabia, Trend reports with reference to the company.
The regular flights along the Dushanbe-Jeddah-Dushanbe route are planned to be lunched from March 9, and operate twice every week.
The flights on Thursdays are going to depart from Dushanbe on 2:30 PM (GMT+5), and from Jeddah on 07:30 PM (GMT+3). The departure time on Sundays from Dushanbe is 10:30 PM (GMT+5), from Jeddah - 04:00 AM (GMT+3) on Monday.
The company has also announced the launch of flights from Tajikistan’s Khujand, the second largest city in the country, to Jeddah from March 9.
The flights along the route Khujand-Jeddah-Khujand are planned to operate on Tuesdays. The departure time from Khujand is 9:00 PM (GMT+5), from Jeddah – 02:00 AM (GMT+3) on Wednesday.
According to the company, the flights will be carried out by Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
Tajik Somon Air is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which has been successfully operating internationally since 2008.
To date, the company implements flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Türkiye, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
