BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. A new car plant named “Sipar Guruh” has been put into operation in Tajikistan’s Tursunzoda city by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, Trend reports.
The new plant was built within the frame of the "Years of Industrial Development for 2022-2026" government strategy. The plant will assemble special military and civil vehicles.
The vehicles assembled at this enterprise will be mainly used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan.
During the first stage, the plant will assemble and install 17 types of special vehicles, using some imported parts. The major provider of the parts for the enterprise is Streit Group from the UAE.
The annual capacity of the plant is 120 vehicles per year. There are plans to increase the assembly volume in the future and begin exporting the vehicles abroad.
With the launch of the enterprise, 100 residents of Tursunzoda were provided with the job places.
