BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Tajikistan’s import of chemicals and related products from Georgia has increased 2.3 times year-on-year in April 2023, Trend reports.
According to Georgian statistical data, the value of imports amounted to $715,200, which is an increase compared to $30,110 in April 2022.
Tajikistan imported from Georgia chemicals for $362,150 in March 2023, which is 1.1 times more than in March last year ($314,930).
Furthermore, in February of this year, Tajikistan imported chemical products from Georgia with a value of $546,600, while in January, the imports amounted to $2,650.
In the period from January through April, Tajikistan imported Georgian chemicals and related products for $1.626 million, registering a 2.1 times increase year-on-year.
Overall, Tajikistan’s imports from Georgia from January through April amounted to $12.691 million, witnessing a year-on-year growth of 3.7 times compared to $3.374 million in the same period of 2022.
In the meantime, Tajikistan’s exports to Georgia remained very moderate. In April this year, Tajikistan exported to Georgia goods for $5,500, which is 11 times less than in April 2022 ($63,130).
