BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia reached $3.469 million in May 2023, which is an increase of 4.1 times compared to $843,300 recorded in May 2022, Trend reports.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, Tajikistan's imports from that country amounted to $3.439 million during the specified period, experiencing a 4.1-fold increase compared to the same month in 2022 ($834,490).
Tajikistan's exports to Georgia in May 2023 totaled $30,530, which is 3.4 times higher than in May 2022 ($8,801).
In total, trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia amounted to $16.167 million from January through May 2023, which is 3.7 times more than $4.280 million in the same months of 2022.
Last year, the overall trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia amounted to $22.9 million, which is 1.8 times higher than the $12.5 million recorded in 2021.
In 2022, imports from Georgia to Tajikistan amounted to $22.6 million, demonstrating a growth of 1.8 times compared to the $12.4 million in 2021.
Tajikistan's exports to Georgia in 2022 reached $304,250, increasing 5.7 times compared to the $53,170 recorded in 2021.
