DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 27. Georgia’s exports to Tajikistan via motor transport amounted to $32.597 million from January through November 2023, which is a 96-percent increase compared to the same period in 2022 ($16.613 million), Trend reports.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), the value of Georgia’s exports to Tajikistan via rail transport totaled $1.562 million during the 11 months, rising by 97 percent compared to the corresponding months last year ($790,180).
However, there was a decrease in exports via air transport. Its value reached $270,590, declining by 58 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($653,810).
Overall, Georgia's exports to Tajikistan totaled $34.430 million from January through November 2023, which is a 90-percent surge compared to the same period in 2022 ($18.057 million).
Georgian imports from Tajikistan reached $268,630 from January through November 2023, which is a decrease of 6.2 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2022 ($286,610).
During the reporting period, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $34.698 million, which is a rise of 89.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($18.343 million).
