DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 6. Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, participated in the first meeting of the Energy Ministers of the Central Asian states held in Kazakhstan's Astana, Trend reports.

In his speech, Juma highlighted the ongoing project aimed at reconnecting Tajikistan's energy system with the Unified Energy System of Central Asia (UES CA). He noted that in early June of this year, the energy system in the southwestern part of Tajikistan was successfully connected to the UES CA, enhancing the reliability of the regional power grid.

The meeting saw proposals to strengthen cooperation through expanded opportunities for energy trade and to advance low-carbon initiatives, achieve carbon neutrality, and facilitate a phased energy transition.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of the energy ministries of Central Asian countries signed a communiqué, laying the foundation for further successful cooperation on all key issues between the nations.
