The workshop of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) began in Ashgabat on Feb. 24. The workshop is dedicated to discussions of mechanisms necessary for effective implementation of legal reform, the OSCE said.
Two day workshop was organized by the OSCE center in Ashgabat and the OSCE Bureau for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the Turkmen President.
"We hope that this workshop will promote better realizing of important role of national mechanisms due to which the government and legislative agencies have an opportunity to control implementation of legislation, Arsim Zekolli, head of the OSCE office in Ashgabat, said.
The role of estimation and systematization of legislation will be discussed on the workshop, Robert Adams, head of the OSCE Bureau for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights democratization department, said.
This meeting is the continuation of the first workshop held in May 2008. The meeting focused on development of strategy, estimation of impact and mechanisms of legislation develoment.
Representaives of the governemntal agencies, MPs and responsible employees of state intitutes participating in lawmaking and legal reforms conduction took part in the workshop.
