Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov will pay an official visit to Jordan soon. Series of inter-governmental agreements will be signed during the visit, official Turkmen source said.

The agenda of upcoming talks includes cooperation in fuel and energy sector, petrochemical, textile industry, agriculture, construction and investment.

At the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, stressing the importance of a planned summit meeting in Amman, Berdymuhammedov said that the talks aim to mark a new stage in Turkmenistan's relations with Jordan.

Ashgabat has prioritized establishing mutually beneficial partnership with the Arab world for the past two years. High level meetings have stimulated relations with Jordan. In late August 2008, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein paid first official visit to Ashgabat.

Abdullah Saleh Abdelrahim Voriekat, special envoy of the King of Jordan for Central Asia, visited Ashgabat to negotiate possible opening of diplomatic mission here.
