U.S President Barack Obama sent his congratulations to his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in connection with Ramadan, the Turkmen government said.
The message said the holy month of Ramadan is a period when families and communities think about the values of life.
"On behalf of the U.S people, I express you and Turkmen people best wishes on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr. I hope that the holy month of Ramadan became the period for families and friends to think about about the values of the surrounding world," he said.
