Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov offered condolences to the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev over a plane crash near Yaroslavl, which resulted in numerous casualties.
As the Turkmen government said, wishing the Russian President fortitude and strength to overcome this tragedy, "the Turkmen leader also conveyed words of deep sympathy and support to the bereaved families and relatives".
An aircraft Yak-42 with Yaroslavl "Locomotive" team's hockey players on board crashed near the Tunoshna village near Yaroslavl on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Extraordinary Situations Ministry, there were 45 people - 37 passengers and 8 crew members on board. Two of them survived.
