President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov expressed the country's willingness to enhance cooperation with well-known French companies, and stressed that he invites them to participate in the implementation of new joint projects, local media reported on Friday.
Berdimuhammadov held a series of meetings with representatives of major French business, which included VINCI Construction president Alain Bonnot, president of Bouygues Concern Martin Martin Bouygues, head of CIFAL Gilles Remy and senior vice president of Thales International Blaise Jaeger.
In particular, Berdimuhammadov reaffirmed Turkmenistan's willingness to enhance cooperation with VINCI, which is one of the leaders in the international construction market.
"Turkmenistan focuses on advanced scientific and technological progress and the latest technology to ensure a new quality of people's life," Berdimuhammadov said inviting the company, jointly with which a number of important development projects have been already implemented, to participate in the implementation of these plans.
The head of Thales International showed mockup satellite to Berdimuhammadov, which will be built by this French company by Turkmenistan's order.
Representatives of the French business confirmed their willingness to provide Turkmenistan with their experience, with advanced developments and wide range of services, assuring that they will make all efforts to further develop long-term cooperation.
Total - the fourth largest oil company in the world can be involved in the development of the Turkmen section of Caspian Sea in the near future.
Negotiations are underway under the terms of PSA agreement.
