President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has approved the Provision on the Emergency Commission to fight the spread of diseases.
In accordance with this document, Resolution 2783 "On Approval of the Anti-Epidemic Emergency Commission of Turkmenistan", issued by the President of Turkmenistan on Aug. 30, 1996, expired.
This act targets developing and implementing measures to prevent the emergence and spread of human infectious diseases, and their elimination in accordance with Article 39 of the Sanitary Code of the country.
Over the past ten years the total cost for the construction of new health facilities in Turkmenistan amounted to more than $1.5 billion.
In the next three years, approximately $500 million are provided for new medical projects. About 30-40 percent from this amount will account for foreign investments.
