Turkmenistan's parliament chairperson Akjah Nurberdieva accepted credentials of the South African Republic ambassador Shirish Manaklal, and Hungary's ambassador Gul Piteh, Turkmen government reported on Tuesday.
The diplomats were acquainted with the structure and legislative activity of the national parliament.
Fuel and energy complex, trade, tourism, development of small and medium-sized businesses as well as environmental protection field were noted as the prior fields of cooperation during the talks with South Africa's representative.
Hungary in its turn, is interested in cooperation in energy, pharmaceutical and agricultural sector.
The Ambassador of South Africa is expected to hold a number of meetings at the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral resources, the Ministry of Economics and Development, the Ministry of Culture and at the Chamber of Commerse and Industry.
The Ambassador of Hungary will hold a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare and Ministry of Trade.
It was noted, that the parties suggested to start the development of rigid intergovernmental cooperation with organization of business-forums with participation of interested entities and companies.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Hungary were established in May of 1992.
Hungarian Republic happens to be the member of Council of Europe since 1991 and a full member of European Union since 2004.
Technological equipment, cars and medications are included to commodity composition of Hungarian import to Turkmenistan.
Refinery and petrochemical production, domestic textile is of a practical interest as export goods for Hungary.
3 enterprises with the capital from Hungarian Republic have been registered in Turkmenistan lately. 6 projects with the capital of Hungarian Republic to the amount of 34 million US dollars have been registered in Turkmenistan.
