According to the decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Amanmyrat Khallyev was appointed to the country's attorney, previously he held the position of Chief Justice, the Turkmen government said.
By another decree, Begench Charyev was appointed the President of the Supreme Court, who was previously the Minister of Justice. According to the information, Berdimuhamedov, who is also the supreme commander of the Armed Forces, has signed a decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan and assigning them to qualification classes.
Earlier, the Turkmen leader signed decrees on dismissal of Yaranmyrat Yazmyradov from the position of attorney general "for serious flaws in the work." In addition, a public prosecutor of Ashgabat Movlamberdy Garaev was dismised "for the improper performance, serious flaws in the work, and the use of public office for private gain."
Berdimuhamedov said at meeting of the State Council Security that serious violations of the order and discipline were done in the prosecutor's office.
"The activities of law enforcement agencies should directly respond to the high aims and objectives of the era of power and happiness, the state policy of Turkmenistan - the country where the well-being is elevated to national priorities ," - he said.
