Starting December 20, state owned Turkmenhowayollary (Turkmen Airlines) will begin operating regular passenger flights from Ashgabat-Paris and Paris-Ashgabat on Fridays, the Service said on Friday.
According to the civil aviation authority of Turkmenistan, for 2012-2030, the number of purchased planes produced by the American Corporation Boeing for the national company will increase.
This will allow the opening of new air connections from Ashgabat to Madrid (Spain), Jakarta (Indonesia), Muscat (Oman), Al-Kuwait (Kuwait), Singapore (Singapore), Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Cairo (Egypt).
In January 2013, the construction of a new international capital airport with a capacity of 1,600 passengers per hour started.
Meanwhile, the airport can receive planes of any type and carrying capacity, ensuring international standards of service.
In June 2013, the Turkmenhowayollary fleet received another new Boeing-737-800 airliner which is characterized by its high efficiency, comfort and the ablility to carry up to 160 passengers. Their cruising speed is 850 kilometers per hour.
Turkmenhowayollary also said that another airliner of this series will service Turkmenistan in the near future. The country's air fleet has such planes as the world-famous brands such as Boeing-757, Boeing-737, Boeing -717, including the wide body, long-haul Boeing-767-300 ER.
