Turkmen military and law enforcement personnel acknowledged

Turkmen President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree awarding a group of servicemen and representatives of the law enforcement and military bodies with state awards for a great personal contribution to the strengthening of the independence and sovereignty, defensive capacity of neutral Turkmenistan and ensuring security, law and order, the Turkmen State News Agency reported on Monday.
According to the report, the award was timed to celebrate with the 22nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
'Turkmen President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on assigning military and special ranks to a group of servicemen and representatives of the law enforcement and military bodies taking into account the faithful execution of their sacred military duty, contribution to the strengthening of the country's defensive capacity.
'Also the big merits in strengthening the rule of law and order in society are envisaged in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the independence of neutral Turkmenistan in accordance with paragraph 11 of Article 53 of the Turkmen Constitution,' a statement said.
