Turkey supports expansion of economic ties with Turkmenistan

Turkey attaches great importance to the expansion of fruitful economic relations and strengthening of brotherly relations with Turkmenistan, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekchi said in Ashgabat, a message from the Turkmen government said on Feb.12.
This statement was made at a meeting of the Turkish minister with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov where both parties expressed their support to the further strengthening of cooperation on the basis of equal rights and mutual benefit.
Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoglu and Head of the Exporters Council Mehmet Buyukekshi attended the meeting.
The Turkish minister conveyed 'cordial greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan'.
The Turkmen president stressed that Turkmenistan and Turkey are bound by a historically constituted commonality of spiritual traditions and fraternal and friendly relations built on the principles of mutual respect and beneficial cooperation in all the spectrums of intergovernmental dialogue.
An exhibition of Turkish export products is being held in the Turkmen capital to coincide with the visit.
Turkey is one of Turkmenistan's largest trade and economic partners. Currently, over 600 Turkish companies are operating in the local market and are implementing joint projects in electricity, oil and gas complex, construction, transport, communications, textiles industry and agricultural industry.
Exhibition participants include: SNS Çelik, Аssan panel, Dng çelik, Almetsan ýapi, Gçs metal çati, Pakpen plastik boru, Em-ka çelik, Hilal alüminium, Alfa-tek, Egerplast, ABS, Kumyapi aritma, Kusaý elektrik, Beta transformator, Detaý imalat, Unal kablo, and new power generator, Faz pano Has kauçuk.
