The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) plans to produce 340,000 tons of liquefied gas in 2016, said the message of the country's oil and gas ministry March 18.
A part of the product's total volume will be realized on the domestic and foreign markets. The rest part of the produced gas will be used at the refinery for the production of polypropylene and high-octane gasoline component, qualitative characteristics of which will correspond to the ecological requirements of the Euro-5 standard.
TCOR produced 300,000 tons of liquefied gas in 2015.
A major part of this production is exported. About 230,000-260,000 tons of liquefied gas is purchased by such countries as Georgia, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and others every year.
The company significantly improved infrastructural facilities for supply of the marketable liquefied gas, according to the message.
