Turkmenistan is a key partner of the EU, and the two sides have well-established ties in various areas of mutual interests, reads a letter of the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian to Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Burian said in his letter that he is happy to witness continuation of a fruitful political dialogue, as well as practical steps in cooperation between the EU member states and Turkmenistan.
He added that Turkmenistan’s constant work in implementing comprehensive reforms will allow the country to realize its considerable potential, as well as contribute to positive changes throughout the Central Asian region.
The EU is ready to support this work and remain a reliable partner of Turkmenistan, the diplomat’s letter said.
