The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan signed a loan agreement with the US Deere Credit Inc. on behalf of the country's government, the bank said in a message.
The issue is financing the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as spare parts for the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Turkmenistan, the message said.
"John Deere Capital Corp. is one of the country’s long-standing and reliable partners,” the message said. “It makes a great contribution to the development and strengthening of the technical power of the agricultural sector."
The conclusion of the loan agreement testifies to the expansion of the bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation with the world financial institutions, including the US partners, the message said.
John Deere Capital Corp. has been operating in the Turkmen market for 25 years.
