Industrial gas inflow with daily debit of more than 1 million cubic meters was obtained at the gas-bearing area “Minara-3” in the Mary province of Turkmenistan, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported Jan. 6.
Earlier it was reported that the development of a well at a depth of 3,000 meters started in 2011.
The Minara field was discovered by Turkmen geologists in 2009.
According to BP, Turkmenistan ranks fourth in the world for its natural gas reserves. The country supplies gas to China and Iran.
