The 17th Universal International Exhibition, White City – Ashgabat, opened in the Turkmen capital May 25, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan said in a message.
Administration of Ashgabat is one of the exhibition’s organizers.
The exhibition covers a wide range of areas of interest for mutually beneficial cooperation - from construction to electricity, processing, light industry and design.
Representatives of more than 80 domestic and foreign companies, enterprises of ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, business circles from Russia, the UK, France, Germany, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are taking part in the exhibition.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in his appeal to the exhibition participants that in accordance with the master plan for construction and improvement, the Turkmen capital has significantly expanded its borders in a few years.
“The comprehensive urban development program being implemented in the Turkmen capital is aimed at turning Ashgabat into one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the world,” reads the presidential address.
