Turkmenistan starts exporting polymer products

The pilot deal on the purchase of polymer products of the gas chemical complex in Kiyanly town of the Balkan province of Turkmenistan has been registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, the Turkmengas State Concern said in a message.

Companies from the CIS bought 11,782 tons of high-density polyethylene, as well as 2,309 tons of polypropylene of various brands.

The complex in Kiyanly town is being built by the Turkmengas State Concern together with Japan’s TOYO and South Korea’s LG.

The new complex will process 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas and produce 381,000 tons of high-density polyethylene, 81,000 tons of polypropylene and other products.

At the same time, up to 4.5 billion cubic meters of commercial gas will be produced. This gas will be sent to gas pipeline systems to be used as fuel.
