Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, who is in charge of country’s agro-industrial sector, said that agrotechnical work in Turkmenistan continues, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
Orazgeldiyev made the remark during an online meeting, also attended by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov, Minister of Internal Affairs Mammetkhan Chakiyev, as well as officials of municipal administrations of the regions and the capital Ashgabat as well.
Orazgeldiev said the country attaches great importance to the preparation for grain harvesting.
Steps are also being taken to ensure maximum productivity of agricultural machinery that is used in the mowing season, he said.
The president noted the importance of proper cotton management and highlighted that the control of plant pests should be carried out on the basis of a scientifically based methods.
Orazgeldiyev informed the president that cardinal reforms to improve the agro-industrial sector, increase agricultural production and create favorable conditions for farmers are carried out in the country during a working meeting that was held at the end of May.
