Turkmenistan’s Lebap Cement Plant produced and sent to consumers 470,924 tons of M-400 and M-500 Portland cement from January through July 2021, Trend reports referring to the official media of Turkmenistan.

According to the information, the growth rate of the enterprise, the production capacity of which allows the annual production of one million tons of cement, increased by 7.79 percent over this period.

It is also reported that the Portland cement of the M-400 and M-500 brands produced here is of high quality and fully complies with international standards.

The cement plant located in the Koytendag district of the Lebap region was commissioned in February 2013. Cement products manufactured here are sold not only in the domestic market, but also exported abroad.

In June of this year, Turkmenistan has launched the production of Portland cement of the brand with active mineral additives-basalt porphyrites and flask

The raw materials for this production are rocks from the Ufra deposit of basalt porphyrites and the Akbulak deposit in the Lebap region.

Among the products manufactured by the local construction enterprises in Turkmenistan are the facing stone, cement, bricks, non-metallic building materials, metal structures, plastic, and fiberglass pipes.

Turkmenistan’s abundant natural resources allow increasing the production of expanded clay, the main component for which is mudstone, extracted at the Yagmansky field in the Balkan region.

The priority sphere of the building materials industry is the production of well cement for the oil and gas industry as well as the cement of various grades, including Portland cement (sulfate-resistant cement), which is used in laying foundations, construction of bridge supports, and hydraulic structures.
