Turkmenistan reveals volume of waste paper processed by private enterprises

Turkmen private enterprises this year processed 22,000 tons of waste paper, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan.

According to the information, a number of large private enterprises and individual entrepreneurs are currently involved in the collection and processing of waste paper in Turkmenistan.

It is reported that the Toprak business company plans to expand the range of recycled waste and increase production capacity. To this end, the company's specialists have developed a project for a new site, where they will collect and process urban waste.

It is noted that for the production of paper and packaging, it was decided to use not only waste paper, but also wood, deciduous and agricultural waste. For these purposes, funds have already been allocated and equipment for the production of cellulose and, accordingly, paper has been ordered.

Earlier it was reported that from August 1 of this year, a new customs duty was introduced in Turkmenistan on the export of waste paper, which made it possible to more effectively use the potential of enterprises for the production of paper products, taking into account the increased demand for paper and cardboard containers in the country and a decrease in the cost of products.
