President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held an expanded video meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up the work in the first nine months of 2021 in all sectors of the economy, including the country's oil and gas complex, Trend reports on Oct.11 citing the NEBIT-GAZ newspaper.
At the meeting, information was provided about the indicators achieved in the field of oil and gas condensate production, as well as oil refining. So, the plan for the production of gasoline was exceeded by 8.2 percent, polypropylene - 8.4 percent, and the spending of investments - 4.7 percent.
The plan for production of natural and associated gas from January through September this year was exceeded by 23.5 percent and the export of gas - by 36.2 percent. Thus, the growth rate compared to the same period of last year was ensured at the level of 23.3 percent and 37.5 percent, respectively.
Berdimuhamedov noted that more attention should be paid to attracting investments in the fuel and energy complex, developing deposits in the Caspian Sea, processing hydrocarbons.
“It’s also necessary to accelerate the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and build new processing plants,” added the president.
