Turkmenistan’s Ferkhar enterprise for the first time began experimental growth of papaya, Trend reports on Oct.27 via Turkmenportal.
For such exotic fruits especially tall greenhouses have been built at the enterprise in Mary region since papaya grows up to 5 meters. Heat, light and moisture are the main conditions for comfortable growth of the plants.
Ferkhar Holding is the first company to kickstart banana production in Turkmenistan. The company began its activities in November 2017, and the first harvest of bananas was received in March 2019. Currently, there are about 2,000 banana roots in the greenhouse.
