Turkmenistan’s GDP growth rate from the beginning of 2022 has remained stable at 6.2 percent, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at the government meeting, Trend reports via Turkmen media.
According to the president, over the first two months of the current year, the growth rate in the agriculture sector was 3.2 percent, in trade - 8.8 percent, and in the transport and communications sector - 4 percent.
Meanwhile, the volume of the foreign trade turnover of Turkmenistan from January through February 2022 increased by 30.7 percent, while the retail turnover volume increased by 10.6 percent.
The president also assessed the construction works carried out in the country, as well as the implementation of a new program in the agriculture sector, the construction of social facilities, and water treatment facilities.
Meanwhile, the meeting summed up the results of the government's work on the economy over the first two months of 2022, assessed the relevant reports, and also considered a number of other issues.
