BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. Turkmenistan is increasing the production and export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the ORIENT information portal.
In January 2022, Turkmengaz state concern increased the production of liquefied natural gas by 16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, having produced 8,400 tons of products.
At the same time, an agreement on LNG supplies to Tajikistan was reached in August 2021.
At the end of the same year, Turkmenistan managed to export about 5,000 tons of this raw material to Tajikistan, but nevertheless it is planned to further increase these supplies.
Since 2021, Turkmenistan has been exporting LNG to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
