BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. Turkmenistan took the first place in the export of pipeline natural gas to China, Trend reports with reference to the Orient information portal.

From January through February 2022, China imported Turkmen gas worth $1.44 billion, which is 1.47 times higher than the results of the same period last year.

Russia ranks second ($526.9 million), followed by Myanmar ($224.6 million), Kazakhstan ($105.1 million) and Uzbekistan ($48.4 million).

In addition, Australia ($3.57 billion) was the leading supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China, followed by Qatar ($2.32 billion), Malaysia ($1.87 billion), Indonesia ($746 million), the US ($665 million) and Russia ($503 million)

Furthermore, Turkmenistan pays great attention to the creation of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
