BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan decreased by 17.1 percent from January through March 2022 compared to the same period of 2021 and amounted to $186.8 million, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan website.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan’s imports from Turkmenistan amounted to $154.8 million, while export - were $32 million. Thus, Turkmenistan entered the top 10 biggest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan from January through March 2022.
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in the first quarter of 2022 exceeded $ 13.15 billion, an increase of 74.8 percent, or $5.63 billion compared to the same period in 2021.
During the reporting period, almost $2.2 billion accounted for Uzbekistan's trade with China, while Uzbekistan’s imports from China exceeded $1,66 billion and export - were $525.7 million.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan amounted to $881.9 million in 2021, which is 61 percent more than in 2020.
