BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Chairman of the upper house of the Parliament of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Russian Tatarstan, where he held a number of bilateral meetings, and also took part in the XIII International economic summit "Russia – Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2022", Trend reports citing the Business Turkmenistan news agency.
Berdimuhamedov at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Center, which became the venue of the summit, expressed Turkmenistan's interest in acquiring modern buses powered by electric traction.
At the same time, within the framework of the visit, Berdimuhamedov met with the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, which was also attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Adviser Mintimer Shaimiev and Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, as well as to consider all possibilities of participation of Russian partners in promising projects implemented in various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
