BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, who arrived on a visit to the Turkmen capital Ashgabat, Trend reports citing the Business Turkmenistan news agency.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, fuel and energy, industrial and agricultural spheres.
At the same time, the sides placed special emphasis on the need to intensify constructive Turkmen-Kazakh dialogue in the political, diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
Furthermore, Sklyar voiced interest of the Kazakh side in implementing a project to build a grain storage terminal on the territory of Turkmenistan.
As a result of the dialogue, agreements were reached on the supply of Turkmen gas to Kazakhstan.
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations in October 1992.
