BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Wheat harvest has been completed in Dargan Ata district of Lebap region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.

According to the information, over 5,300 tons of grain have been gathered from 2,300 hectares of sown areas in the district.

At the same time, it is planned to harvest over 310,000 tons of wheat in the Lebap region.

In the whole country, 690,000 hectares have been sown for wheat this year, from which 1.4 million tons of grain are planned to be gathered.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
