BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf, Trend reports citing the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Government of Turkmenistan in charge of the energy sector, trade and services, as well as the Director General of the Turkmen Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The sides discussed prospects for further development of relations, stressed the importance of building fruitful partnership both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
At the same time, they noted the importance of intensifying work in the field of transport and logistics, as well as intensifying cooperation in the energy sector and increasing the volume of trade.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council on the mechanism of consultations.
