BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $29.7 million last week, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Entrepreneurs from Türkiye, Afghanistan, Switzerland, UAE and Uzbekistan purchased gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel and aviation kerosene on the exchange.
Entrepreneurs from India purchased various types of cotton yarn in the amount of 9.7 million Turkmen manats ($2.7 million).
Businessmen from Turkmenistan purchased high-density polyethylene for the domestic market in exchange for a total amount of more than 3.9 million Turkmen manats ($1.1 million).
A total of 36 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
