BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. The number of livestock in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.

Currently, 2.71 million heads of small cattle and 546,300 heads of cattle are raised on the livestock farms of the region.

Strict veterinary control is established in livestock farms, and in places where animals are kept, the duty of experienced livestock breeders is organized.

Furthermore, at the moment a lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.

Most of the livestock production is accounted for by the private sector of Turkmenistan.
