BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. Entrepreneurs from UAE purchased iodine from Turkmen production during trading on September 2 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.
Businessmen from UAE purchased 40 tons of iodine on the exchange at a price of $46,900 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $1.8 million.
Furthermore, according to the exchange, on August 22, entrepreneurs from the UAE purchased aviation kerosene from Turkmen production for a total amount of $656,400.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
