BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Turkmenistan is stepping up cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Trend reports citing Turkmenportal.
This was stated by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the State Council.
He noted that Turkmenistan will continue to cooperate with international financial institutions and, in particular, will gradually improve the mechanisms for attracting foreign investment in order to support entrepreneurship, finance producers of domestic goods, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
The president stressed that special attention will be paid to financing competitive, technological, environmentally friendly electronic and electrical industries.
