BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. The increase in the provision of work and services in the transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan from January through October 2022 amounted to 14.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This was announced by the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakiyev at a government meeting.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan in the field of cargo transportation by road, rail, air, and sea transport was exceeded by 9.4 percent, and for passenger transportation – by 4.3 percent.
The growth of services rendered by the Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service) amounted to 29.5 percent, Turkmendemiryollary Agency (Turkmenistan Railway) - 5.1 percent, Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) - 10.6 percent.
At the same time, the growth of services rendered by the Turkmenhowayollary Agency (Turkmen Airlines) amounted to 75.2 percent, and Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency (Turkmen Communication) - 7.7 percent, the head of the agency noted.
