BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 6. The Turkmenabat sewing factory located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan for 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During the reporting period, the factory manufactured products worth more than 52.2 million Turkmen manats ($14.9 million), exceeding the plan by 47.2 percent or 16.7 million Turkmen manats ($4.7 million).
The production plan of the enterprise for 2022 was 35.5 million Turkmen manats ($10.1 million).
The main part of the factory's products is uniforms for the military, as well as clothing for children and adults.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
