BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 2. The cost of products manufactured by industrial enterprises of the Lebap region located in the east of Turkmenistan for 2022 has been published, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the specified period in the region, the value of manufactured industrial products amounted to 23.39 billion Turkmen manats ($6.69 billion), of which 7.5 billion Turkmen manats ($2.14 billion) accounted for state-owned enterprises.
Electricity production in the region last year, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 47.3 percent, cotton yarn - by 18.9 percent, cotton fabric - by 45.4 percent, and cement - by 12.3 percent.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of social and industrial facilities, manufacturing is becoming one of the most important areas of the economy in Turkmenistan, which is given important importance in the implementation of import substitution programs and increasing the export potential of the state.
