BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. The Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Afghan city of Herat Aymyrat Gochmyradov held a meeting with the governor of the province of Herat Nur Ahmad Islamjar, as well as the head and members of the Herat Union of Industrialists, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
During the meeting, the Governor of Herat spoke about the economic and industrial opportunities of the province and said that the entrepreneurs of Herat are interested in expanding economic ties with Turkmenistan.
Furthermore, the members of the Union of Industrialists of Herat expressed hope that Turkmenistan will import some of its marble from Herat, due to the high quality of marble in the Chisht Sharif area.
In turn, the Consul General assured the interest of Turkmen business structures in increasing economic cooperation with Herat and stressed the intention of the Turkmen side in importing marble from the province.
