BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan increased 2.1 times last year compared to 2021 ($37.8 million) - up to $82.1 million, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information, during the specified period, Turkmen exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $77.4 million, which is more than 2.3 times higher than in the same period of 2021 ($32.7 million). The share of Turkmenistan in the total volume of imports of Kyrgyzstan in the specified period was 0.8 percent.
Turkmenistan imported $4.7 million worth of goods from Kyrgyzstan last year, which is 6 percent less than in the same period of 2021 ($5 million). The share of Turkmenistan in the total volume of Kyrgyz exports during this period was 0.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover in 2022 as a whole exceeded $ 11.8 billion, an increase of 42.1 percent compared to 2021, ($8.3 billion).
